No Sign Of Slowing Down for Matthew West

Following Matthew West’s record-breaking no. 1 single, “More,” which topped the charts for eight consecutive weeks earlier this year, “The End” continues its climb up the radio charts.

Matthew’s second single currently holds these chart positions: No. 12 on R&R’s Christian AC Top 30 (“More” at No. 13); No. 10 on R&R’s Christian CHR Top 30; No. 11 on PDAdvisor’s Top 20 Adult Contemporary; No. 8 on PDAdvisor’s Top 20 CHR; and No. 19 on CRW’s CHR/Pop chart.

In addition to “The End’s” appeal at radio, other significant artists are showcasing Matthew’s talents as they record songs written by him. Billy Ray Cyrus’s current album, The Other Side, features Matthew’s “Love Has No Walls,” Point Of Grace’s forthcoming project will include two of his songs and Joy Williams’ project will include one cut by him. Furthermore, a song Matthew wrote for his own wedding will be featured on Rascal Flatts’ forthcoming album.

Matthew will be a featured performer during the “Soul2Soul Honors: A Christian Music Celebration” on August 24. Highlighting some of Christian music's most distinguished artists, Soul2Soul Honors will recognize the achievements and special contributions of honorees including Avalon, Chris Rice, 4HIM, Margaret Becker, Out of the Grey, DeGarmo & Key, Point of Grace, Sandi Patty and Rich Mullins.

Held at The People’s Church of Franklin, TN, the two-hour Soul2Soul Honors event will be taped for a television special to air on the Trinity Broadcasting Network, and for the Soul2Soul Radio Network, to air in 30 countries later this year.
