I was in church one sunday and this lady started foaming at the mouth and making these wierd noises like a animal i never heard before. all i know is it not decent and in order. sometimes they role around on the floor like a snake and even look like a snake! i say no it is not right to speak in tongues without an interpreter. it says in the bible in 1 corinthians 14: 21 through 23 wherefore tongues are for a sign, not to them that believe, but to them that believe not: but prophesying serveth not for them that believe not, but for them which believe. if therefore the whole church be come together into one place, and all speak with tongues, and there come in those that are unlearned, or unbelievers, will they not say that ye are mad? i know a lot of people are starting to do it in ignorance because they just believe what ever any body tells them that is popular and has a congregation and they don't read the bible for themself. i just get my blessing from the sermon and music not speaking in tongues and I am not going to fake for no body. how can you fake against the holy ghost when he know you faking? it don't matter to me to fake to impress the person next to me so they think i am saved. Jesus know who saved and who is not saved and speaking in tongues don't mean you saved it is no scripture that says you must speak in tongue to be saved. the word say i just have to call on the name of the Lord to be saved and that is what i do.

Interpreter? Wow! I always thought whatever sounds were coming out of one's mouth was between the one speaking in tongue and God. ***shrugs***

There is a difference between tongues for self edification and tongues which need interpretation. If you are holding up and entire church service in tongues the interpretation should come from the person speaking or from someone with the gift of interpretation. If not, it is out of order. If it is personal and you are in church, you should dismiss yourself to a more private place and when the time of edification has passed reenter the sanctuary and continue in service. We have scripture to back this position. Now as to the writhing like a snake, I think someone should have been checking which spirit was operating......
